Help us celebrate this special occasion with cultural activities and performances.
The Moon Festival – traditionally a time celebrating hope and renewal, and a special time for family members to come together. A time for gatherings, sharing of food, games, and entertainment.
Dunedin’s Chinese community welcome you to join them in celebration at Lan Yuan.
Festivities open with lion dancing and speeches by Deputy Chinese Consul-General Zhai Xingfu, His Worship the Mayor of Dunedin Aaron Hawkins, and Malcolm Wong ONZM, and continue with vibrant music, dance and Tai Chi performances throughout the afternoon.
The Dunedin Chinese Scholars and Students Association then invites you to enjoy a sample of festive Moon Cakes to conclude the celebrations.
Normal admission charges apply.
Visit the Garden all year round with an Annual Pass for only $18 or $13 concession.
