Celebrating Chinese New Year – the Year of the Rabbit

Join us at Lan Yuan Dunedin Chinese Garden to see out the Year of the Tiger and welcome in the Year of the Rabbit.

Festivities will begin with a ‘quiet hour’ from 5pm to 6pm, allowing people with sensory issues to enjoy a visit to the Garden before live entertainment begins outside the Garden at 6.30pm.

Be a part of the action and join the Dragon Parade from Princes Street to the Garden from 7pm. ⁣

Garden opens at 7pm with gold coin donation and if you're feeling peckish there will be food trucks on site.⁣ ⁣

You can't miss the Dragon Dance at 7.15pm followed by the Lion Dance, cultural performances and celebrations kicking off at 7.30pm.

If that's not enough then the grand finale at 10pm will be the icing on the cake!

Head along to Lan Yuan Dunedin Chinese Garden from 6.30pm Saturday 28 January - we have your family-friendly evening sorted.⁣
